A tour at the sources of oil analysis knowledge
An eight days on the road, it's been last trip to the U.S. by G. Adriani & M. Paoli. The decision to manage a visit to the headquarters of Oil Analysis business, was made a while ago, in order to create a feasible agenda, on a rather tight schedule. First stop at Spectro, in Boston's outskirts, to meet together with the new management, and
discovering potentials of state of the art new instruments in Oils' conditions' monitoring. Enhancements have been made to new Fluidscan hand held unit. A great piece of hi-tech for in the field detection of fluid decay. Definitely a great and friendly environment. Wait & see for next projects brewing. QinetiQ North America, and his new manager S. Chadha is really dedicated to Predictive Maintenance trough oil analysis instruments, and Spectro has been the leader in this field since 1990.

From Boston we flew to the "windy city" to meet together with Michael & Cary Forgeron, managers of Analysts, largest laboratory organization, dedicated to commercial oil analysis for evoluted customers world wide. We spent sometimes in Hoffman Estates facility to discuss improvements in international correlation programs, new technologies, hardware & soft. for future cooperation. Not only business or course: downtown Chicago is worth more than a visit, spending time & attention, mostly if we are inthe hands of indigenous hosts. Good food, why not, and gracious hospitality. Nice indeed. |
| Time came to say "ciao" to our friends Forgeron, with Matteo, was already time to take off on the way to Tulsa/OK. At the AirPort a perfectly scheduled rendezvous with Fitch family, all though was on a weekend. No need to say that Noria (world's most renown organisation in the consultancy & training for major industrial facilities) maintains his headquarters right few yards from Tulsa down town. Perfect weather, the right chance to visit the region where the Oil industry moved first steps at the end of 1800. A quick hello to the friends involved with the new Noria location, in a great environment, a cozy and efficient atmosphere. And no way to leave, before giving a look in the state of the art, Jim's library, with a collection of thousands of technical papers, dedicated to Lubrication, Maintenance and several Proactive approaches. |
